Who Qualifies For The Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are actually open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who originates from a house by using a combined gross home income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Persons with disabilities qualify if their combined residence earnings won't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any evidence of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is here open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents from households with combined R350 000 and 2025 nsfas application R600 000 for each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the proper Identity Document numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds people who are researching or plan to research in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students 2025 nsfas application who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
